Book a Survey
Very happy with the service provided by Jason. He phoned on his arrival to the property to discuss any particular areas of concern that I had prior to conducting the survey and phoned me after the survey to discuss his findings. A detailed report was sent within 24 hours of the survey being carried out, which was thorough and contained useful information and highlighted things I wouldn't have even thought about. Great price and service, would definitely use Camsure again in the future.

Why a Building Survey Matters – Doncaster Case Study

A recent survey in Doncaster revealed key structural details that may have gone unnoticed without a professional inspection. The property, an Airey house, had been altered but lacked essential certification.

Property: Airey house in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

During an RICS Level 3 Building Survey, local surveyor Alan found key structural points worth noting: Post-War Construction - The property was originally built using prefabricated materials after the Second World War. These types of homes are known as Airey houses. Modified External Walls - The original prefab walls had been replaced with load-bearing masonry, likely by the local authority. No PRC Certificate - Despite the alterations, no Precast Reinforced Concrete (PRC) Certificate was available, which could affect lending or resale. Blockwork Party Wall - The party wall in the roof void had been rebuilt in blockwork, indicating further significant modification. These findings highlight how a professional Building Survey can uncover crucial details that impact property value, mortgage approval and long-term maintenance planning.
