New figures show that house prices in Wales rose more than in any other region or country of the UK over the past year. They increased by 14% on average in 2021, according to mortgage provider Halifax. That’s more than all the regions of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland combined.
Notably, Swansea ranked as a UK “hotspot”, with prices increasing 15.5%, bringing the average house price to £211,950.
